This week we are reviewing translations, rotations and reflections (on Khan Academy).
I did not assign the videos, but remember that they are available to you. We are reviewing two-way frequency tables this week. We did a lesson on these towards the end of February or early March. Remember that you can ask questions if you need help. I don't have an assignment for Friday so that you can get caught up on corrections or finishing past assignments. Any past assignments on Khan Academy that you got less than 60% you should try again.
Make sure you read the post below about my office hours.
This week we are going to review the work we did with scatter plots. Please pay attention to the due dates and do the assignments in order by due date. I did not assign the videos, but you are free to watch them if you need a refresher. You can also connect with me on zoom if you have questions! I am changing my office hours to be by appointment. So, what this means is: when you have a question, or want to talk to me, post a comment or send me a message on the contact tab. I will reply as quickly as possible and either zoom with you right then, or set a time that works for both of us. I want to emphasize that I am available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and I will be on zoom from 10 am-11 am each of those days if you want to talk to me without having to set an appointment first. If you cannot set up a time between 8 and 3, please let me know and we will work something out!
Please use this site to message me and not email. I get notifications on my phone for this site and can usually respond right away. Unless I am on or near my computer I do not get notifications for email. Once we set a time to zoom, I will send you an email with the zoom invite link and the password. All zoom sessions have to have a password now for security reasons. Comment on this post when you have read it so I know that everyone is informed. Thank you. Tuesday: You need to do Renaissance Star Math. The link is at the bottom of my home page. Remember to do your best! I'll tell you to retake it if you don't do your best, this is a participation grade.
Wednesday and Thursday are on Khan Academy. We are reviewing properties of exponents. I did not assign the videos this time, but they are there for you if you need them. There are also hints if you get stuck. Do the best you can, do NOT just guess on the ones that are multiple choice. The practice assignments for Thursday are reviewing the assignment you had in the book week before last. Friday: no school--Good Friday. Happy Easter! Remember that I am here for you if you have questions. I am on zoom during my office hours and you can connect with me during that time without any prior notice, but if you have questions at other times and can't connect during my office hours, just comment on this post and we will connect at that time if I am able to, or we will set up a time that works for both of us. (I get notifications on my phone when you comment and can usually answer a lot faster. I do not get notifications from email unless I am on the computer.) |
Terry and SimonYou can comment on posts if you have questions or need help. You can also post comments to discuss the math problems. Remember to be constructive and respectful. "Listen" to each other, do NOT say "I disagree", instead justify (explain) your thinking about why you think what you have is correct. Archives |
