First, please read the post below this one about my office hours.
I want to try something a little different this week. I don't want you to work together on the next few lessons so I can see what each of you can do on your own. So today you'll work on lesson 7.1.2 (details below), and then tomorrow, if you have both turned your work in to me today, I want you to compare answers and discuss today's work--share anything you found interesting. If I don't receive work from both of you, then we will move on to the next lesson and you will continue to work solo. Since we can't work together in person, this is the only way I can think of to make sure you are both understanding the content. (Aidan, I still need you to turn in your work from lesson 7.1.1--last week's lesson. If you're having trouble or not sure how to do that, I'll be on zoom from 10-11.)
7.1.2: 14-16, I think I made copies of the resource pages for this chapter for you before Spring Break--you'll need the first two today, and you'll want some colored pencils or markers. Remember to start each lesson by reading the intro. You will need the first resource page for #15. You may want to use different colors for each runner to better see the differences on the graph. The second resource page is the graph from #16 so you can write on it. Different colors might also be useful on this graph to highlight the different segments and information you need for each one. Your practice problems are 18, 19, 21, and 22.
Remember that you should be spending approximately 30 minutes on math per day, and no more than an hour. So, if you are not finished with the lesson after about 30 minutes, and you are at a good stopping point, then go ahead and stop for the day and continue the next day. It is ok if you don't finish in one day! Just comment on this post if you didn't finish and let me know how much you got done. Thank you! I really miss working with you two! Remember you can also connect with me on zoom if you're confused or stuck or have questions!
